On temporary hiatus. School has been overwhelming (undergrad, neurobiology/pre-med major) and I just haven't had time. I haven't forgot about you (you know who you are!) and am both apologetic and working on it...
You do need to remove the washer. I learned that the hard way when making one for my friend. Nearly cracked the tail hole before it was pointed out to me. Besides that, just follow her tutorial.
